Slice the mushroom and onion; whisk the beef broth and cornstarch together in a small bowl to make a slurry

Combine the ground beef, breadcrumb, egg, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl, mix until just combined, and shape into 4 oval patties

Sear the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side until browned, then remove and set aside

In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the mushroom and onion for 5-7 minutes until softened and browned

Pour the cornstarch slurry into the skillet, bring to a simmer, and cook until the gravy thickens

Return the patties to the skillet, spoon the gravy over them, and simmer for 5-10 minutes until cooked through
